"Postsecondary education is far from affordable.... most of us are finishing school with $20 000+ in debt... I'm one of them."$20,000 is nothing. Between my wife and me our education cost was over $100,000. Luckily for both of use we qualify for some scholarships and grants to cover the cost but it still left us with over $40,000 debt. I was working full time for part of my 5 years of eduction and my wife also worked as well. For me I'd be in class from 9-4 then at work from 5 to midnight and working a full day on Saturday. Now 10 years later we are still paying off those loans.Yeah education is far from cheap and people in the trades make more money that I do. When I was in school they used to bash the trades and being for dummies. "you want to grow up to be a ditch digger" they'd say. Well looking back and seeing as that's what my Uncle does and he millionaire because of it I'd say we were lead down the garden path to being poor.__________________
