（综合）内陆山火继续失控，已经逼近梅里特、西基洛纳和坎卢普斯，今天（8月16号）温哥华前往内陆的主要道Coquihalla高速公路双向关闭，目前不知何时开放。

由于昨天周日BC省不同地区的山火大幅增加，梅里特（Merritt）、西基洛纳和坎卢普斯（Kamloops）已发出疏散警报，南部内陆更多房屋正处于危险之中。

由于山火逼近，整个梅里特市都处于戒备状态，大约 7,000 名社区居民被告知，做好随时准备撤离的准备。

由于 Lytton Creek 山火，在炎热干燥的条件下继续蔓延，并伴有在风，梅里特也处于危险中。

现在大火估计有 56,329 公顷的面积，大火产生的烟雾导致能见度有限，消防员的工作增加了难度。

Lytton Creek 大火自 6 月 30 日以来一直在燃烧，当天几乎摧毁了 Lytton 镇所有房屋，造成两人死亡。

今天，山火也影响了前往内陆的旅行，现在位于 Hope 和 Merritt 之间的Coquihalla路段双向都关闭。目前还没有关于主要路线何时重新开放的消息，当局不鼓励非必要的旅行。
