除了把这里的水抽干没有其他办法，但是要抽干水需要几周的时间。
他曾经向总理及BC省政府官员表示，Abbotsford与洪水损毁相关的费用高达十亿元。
单单堤坝方面的开支在几年前估计已经要四亿元。市内同时有多座桥梁、天桥、道路以及涵洞需要进行评估。
另外目前在水浸地区有大约二万只牛，当中至少2000只已经死亡。

BC省官员说，预料未来几日会证实有更多人在洪水泛滥中死亡。
现在为止证实有一人死亡，至少两个人失踪以及损失几千头牲畜，BC省农业生产商重创，冲毁的房屋和淹没土地无法估量。
省政府昨天宣布进入紧急状态十四日，可能会再延长。
而全国和全省已经行动起来守望相助，素里警察局今天派遣了10名警员前往救援
