本周早些時候，溫哥華西區一對 70 多歲的夫婦接到了一名男子的電話，稱他們的侄子發生車禍，需要 8,000 元才能避從監獄出來。
隨後，一名男子上門到他們家取錢。
同一天晚些時候，基斯蘭奴一名 75 歲居民接到了類似的電話。這一次，老人被騙走了 9,000 元。
警方正對兩起案件進行調查,要求有更多信息的人士和他們聯系。
