本周，溫哥華市政由於擔心街道上無家可歸者帳篷的消防安全，要求於本周四前清除溫東所有的無家可歸者的帳篷和臨時搭建的建築。
根據Daily Hive的報道，溫哥華警察局證實今天7月30日星期六正在處理黑斯廷斯街發生的事件，但沒有確認發生什麼事，只是表示沒有公共安全風險。
VPD也發布一份該地區街道關閉的通知：Main和Carral之間的Hastings街和Pender和Cordova之間的Columbia街被關閉。
