星岛大温本拿比已开设3处避暑中心，以应对本周将升至30多摄氏度的高温。
气象部门预料本周气温将升至30多摄氏度，大温本拿比已开设3处社区避暑中心，中心内提供冷气、座椅、饮用水、及免费无线网络供大众使用。
3处避暑中心从早上10时至晚上10时对外开放，地点为：
-Cameron Community Centre，地址：9523 Cameron St. -Eileen Dailly Leisure Pooland Fitness Centre，地址：240 Willingdon Ave. -Edmonds Community Centre，地址：7433 Edmonds St.
另外，本拿比市民公园（Civic Square）及肯辛顿（Kensington Park）会提供降温洒水服务。
