Manufacturing Quality EngineerOur client is a leader in their field, seeking a talented Manufacturing Quality Engineer. The Manufacturing Quality Engineer will be responsible for interfacing with Engineering as required to ensure the accuracy of product design and BOM (bill of materials) structure. The Manufacturing Quality Engineer will be strongly interfacing with Manufacturing, Purchasing, RA/QA and the Engineering teams. Summary of Duties and Responsibilities ・ Assume full responsibility for supplier development, qualification and quality management program.・ Ensure suppliers’ compliance to the quality system througho Identification of non-conforming materialso Root Cause Analysiso Corrective and Preventative Actionso Proactive risk mitigationo Data collection & trend analysis・ Facilitate supplier implementation of Quality planning methodologies, such as inspection plans, first articles, process validation, PFMEA, Process Capability studies, sampling, DFSS, DFS.・ Liaise with suppliers and our client’s engineering to ensure manufacturability of new designs, accuracy of product design and BOM structure of outsourced assemblies.・ Maintain a database of non-conforming material to track supplier performance.・ Monitor and evaluate supplier’s quality performance to ensure compliance with our client’s Quality standards.・ Report supplier quality performance measurements to our client’s Buyers, Quality Assurance, Manufacturing and Engineering・ Drive continuous efficiency and quality improvements・ Participate in supplier audits as scheduled.・ Ability and willingness for frequent travel to conduct business.・ Maintain clean, safe working environment.・ Adhere to and support the company policy and QSR/ISO Quality System requirements・ Perform other duties/special projects as assigned ・ Excellent verbal and written communication skills・ Thorough hands-on knowledge of mechanical / electrical engineering, assembly drawings and ability to read electrical schematics RequirementsQualificationsComprehensive knowledge of ISO 13485 standards and FDA Quality System regulations. Well-established computer, communication & presentation skills are essential.Requires mechanical aptitude and knowledge of geometric dimensions (GD&T), as well as demonstrated ability to read and understand written specifications.Strong interpersonal skills with a proven record of accomplishments in Supplier Quality Assurance.Must be detail oriented and work well within a team environment.Must be proficient at troubleshooting and problem resolution.Must be able to repetitively lift and carry product weighing approximately 30 lbs. Education ・ Bachelor’s degree in Engineering and equivalent work experience Experience 5-10 years related experience3 years in a progressive manufacturing environment and/or2 years in a manufacturing engineering capacity. Specialized KnowledgeExperience with RF and/or microwave electronicsWorking knowledge of Oracle application preferred.Certified in Six Sigma trainingDemonstrated practical implementation of LEAN principles
