In the Still of the Night I descry bright moonlight in front of my bed. I suspect it to be hoary frost on the floor. I watch the bright moon, as I tilt back my head. I yearn, while stooping, for my homeland more.
白日依山尽， The sun sets into mountains deep,
黄河入海流。 Yellow River flows to the sea.
欲穷千里目， To obtain a thousand-mile sight,
更上一层楼。 Don’t stop climbing of your feet.

Everywhere Orioles Trill In The Green Trees With Red Flowers,

两个黄鹂鸣翠柳 (Two golden orioles sing amid the willows green)
一行白鹭上青天 (A row of white egrets flies into the blue sky)
窗含西岭千秋雪 (My window frames the snow-crowned western mountain scene)
门泊东吴万里船 (My door oft says to eastward-going ships [Goodbye!")

Looking At The Moon And Longing For One Far Away
Over the sea the moon shines bright;
We gaze at it far, far apart.
You might complain how long is night,

I blow out candle; still there's light.
