Hi guys, hope you all going well!Recently I feel terrible because I am really confused that where should I go?
I have been in foreign trade business for 8 years but now I am still working on a private trading company.
As one of the sales people here and I am really not satisfy with the current status.
Looking back on my career, I have worked for many companies.
My first job is a translator in a mechanic factory manufacturing knitting machines.
And 6 months later I changed to be the merchandiser in several companies.
Some in Dongguan City and some in Foshan city, then went back to guangzhou and start being a sales person.
I had been kept changing my jobs and not settled down until 2010, I got a job offer from the current company I am working with.
It was really exciting when I got the job offer from this company, although it was a small, private company.
But it do attend many exhibitions every year home and abroad which I thought it was very attractive.
Besides, I am totally new as a sales person, although I have worked as Mechandiser before but it is different.
So my thoughts is very simple: to get customers and become a good seller.
Still remember the date I got my first order from customer, it was a Saturday afternoon and everything was so great!!!
And there were so many first times in the company, my first time in Canton Fair, first time in foreign country, first time do L/C, first time get big order, and first time....
These are all very great but years after years, I start to lost passions!!!
As the age grows, the live burden is becoming heavier and heavier.
I am no longer excited about how many orders I got but only care how many salaries I got paid.
And what I worried most is, all the business I established will be taken over from someone, the boss for example.
Now is still ok but after years ago when the business is stable, who knows what will happen.
The boss may say: Ok, you are great but we have stable business, we just need someone to maintain the business, you can leave now!
So what should I do??? All the pain, efforts and hard working exchanged for nothing except ages!!!

At least, you chose yourself, not your boss.

Although you may get nothing in the future,you should realize that you have got rich experience these years !

It seems nothing changed but your attitude.
I do understand you might under high pressure, for you said the live burden is becoming heavier and heavier.
But boss has nothing to do with your live burden.
You work for him, and he pays for what you have done. Rather fair.
If you can't change the situation, change yourself.
Make it simple, and Hope you can enjoy your simple life.

Clents maintainance is more importante than developing.
I think you need't worry about the live burden, you have full experience and ability to ask your boss more

after reading yr words,i have same feeling.i suggest the most thing you should think about is what you are after in yr life.
searching for new opportnity ,either for hihgh mangement level,or for better salary.change may be not easy.

You have already said ,you had the memory,you had the experience,now it's the best time to motive yourself to open another world of your life and career,
Don't be stuck in a same well,when you jump out of the well, you will see how vast the sky is.
You are young,you need challenge more.

Thanks for sharing. Have you got married? Do you have kids? They may be all yes?
It is normal when we grow up with heavier life pressure. Because we want to offer best to our family and ourselves.
But,we cannot change the thing has happened for it was happened by what we choose three years ago.
And you may heard there are only two kinds of people in the job field, employee and employer.
I thought you could think about how to get financial freedom or at least get some savings that may do some help when you are afraid your boss will take over you.
Then like the other friends' advises, think about who you are and what you have after in your part-time.
Because you are an experience sales , you are deserving for more.
That is what I do now and what I have got from past jobs.
Good luck to you in 2005. May we are all better in future. Think less, and do more.
