Technical Project Manager
Asa Technical Project Manager, you will play a key role in our productdevelopment process by working with our R&D group and customers during productdevelopment and subsequently with our manufacturing team during start-up.You will ensure that initiatives and product releases are of the highest quality,are delivered on time and meet specifications.
Responsibilities
·Work directly with customers/brandsand our R&D and manufacturing teams on developing new products andtaking them from conception through to production
·Work together with customer technicalteams (Packaging Development, R&D etc.) on new product development andexisting product improvements
·Serve as the technical bridge betweencustomer technical teams and our manufacturing team to address customerrequirements on new and existing products
·Project Management - managedevelopment timelines and act as liaison between the customer and our R&D/manufacturing teams in order to maintain milestones and timelines
·Collaborate with our globallocations regarding R&D and product development
·In collaboration with customers,develop and document product specifications and testing protocols
·Provide technical/commercial supportto internal teams including Production, Quality, Scheduling, Customer Serviceand Sales
·Stay abreast of industry trends andadvancements
Job Requirements
·Bachelor Degree in Mechanical/ManufacturingEngineering or related discipline
·8-10 years of manufacturing experience
·Solid technical and practicalexperience in injection molding, mold design, part design, materials andautomation
·Strong communication skills
·Experience in primary packaging forCosmetics and/or Health & Beauty products an asset
·Ability to troubleshoot and problemsolve
·Office position in Toronto exceptduring travel
·Travel within Canada and US
