Job Description
Our young and fast growing digital marketing firm is looking for a Website Developer to become an integral part of our team and our broader development community. You’ll be pivotal in creating beautiful and high converting, custom storefronts, as well as adding a deep level of customized functionality.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for the development of the e-commerce sites, maintaining existing sites and responsive front end experience, includes but not limited to WooCommerce, Magento and Shopify.
- Design UX based from brand standards and style guide
- Managing and building integrations to third party systems and testing plugins and apps
- Contribute in the development of open source software, HTML5/CSS/JavaScript, and common web technologies integral to building seamless multi-channel experiences
- Collaborating and participating with team members for any discussions and planning sessions
- Implement and maintain high-quality SEO policies and incorporate them with content produced for the website
Qualifications
- 2+ years’ professional (paid) web design experience
- Professional portfolio with at least 3 website designs for internal review
- Must have strong knowledge of Shopify and WooCommerce standards, functionality and at least 5 common plugins (online chat, online payment, video, calendar etc.)
- Proficiency with Mobile / Pad responsive design and implementation is required
- Knowledge of SEO, including sitemap, robots, meta-description, title, keywords etc. are assets
- Intermediate Photoshop and Illustrator skills are recommended
- Bachelor’s in Computer Science, Graphic Design or related field is preferred
Part-time hours: 30 per week
