I wrote it shortly after taking a second trip to IELTS test, in my spare time, not really for making a change in my careers, but to hone my writing skills. I don't mind if I would make a poor show here by sharing it with all of you. It's aimed at gathering your valuable comments so I can make it a perfect one, and if any possible, giving you a rough idea what a cover letter is like when you set off to apply for a job. As you will see from my enclosed resume, I excelled as a Logistics Supervisor at Storage and Handling Plant (a.k.a Logistics Center ), from 2003 to present. At the Central Receiving Point for this installation, which is one of the nation’s largest petrochemical bases, I accepted and processed millions of dollars worth of raw materials such as crude oil and naphtha and of a large variety of petrochemical products, which were then distributed to customer units throughout the country. I earned my second Special Achievement Medal for my professionalism and dedication after earning my first Achievement Medal in Supply and Marketing Company, in which I served in turn as a Warehouse Records Technician, Assistant Shipment Manager and Freight Processing Specialist. 总结一下写COVER LETTER的要点:1.要按上面的"四段论"格式写,英文写作是很八股的.2.尽量用短句,一句说明一个技能或经验3.仔细研究广告,用广告上相同的关键词组成句子.让HR一看就知你有这方面的经验和技能4.少写空洞原理性的东西,数量化,比如I have completed 24 projects,而不要说I have completed many projects.5.避免口语化词组和词汇,拼写大小写,空格等都要注意到.6.写好后让有专业知识的NATIVE SPEAKER修改,最好是大学老师.不要请没有文化的老外看,那样出来的东西档次太低.暂时想到这些,大家可不充.另我写的英文也可能有错的地方,所以最后请NATIVE SPEAKER把关.
