Dear all :now i hv a very big order about total amount one million usd , but now i meet a payment problem about his business , will you pls give me your suggestion and your ideal about it ?
the customer is already my old customer ,before we do T/T payment terms ( 20% T/T prepaid ,the balance paid also by T/T when we show the copy of original B/L to them , but now their order qty become very large about 120 x 20 FCL container this time ,so that they hope can change the payment terms , their ideal as below :
deposit 10,0000 usd paid by the L/C at sight and the balance of each partial shipment paid by T/T , but i think it's not a reasonable payment way ,isn't it ? because how can we get these deposit before we start the production ? as i know that the L/C AT sight should be submit all the original B/L and docs to the bank then we can receive the money of the L/C ,isn't it ?
in my opinion ,that the reasonble payment way should be : the deposit by T/T ,and the balance can open the irrevocable L/C at sight ( allow partial shipment ) .
anybody here who can give me your thinking and ideal ? pls reply , urgently ....
